CTD Clinic CTD Clinic

Manifesto

Cybersecurity awareness failed because the language is awful.

Policy language disappears the moment someone is rushed, distracted, flattered, or scared. CTD Clinic gives risky digital behavior names people can recall when it matters.

If the name is memorable enough to send to a friend, it has a chance to show up before the next bad click.

“I always joke that cybersecurity, nobody takes it serious as an industry because the naming is just awful. And the biggest thing the cybersecurity industry could do is no new technology. If they just branded it as CTIs, like taking it from STI. It’s computer transmitted infections. All of a sudden I’m like, I feel a little bit more dirty about it.”

THE CLINIC MODEL

Notice the itch

The patient experiences a tiny "this is weird" sensation and ignores it heroically.

Receive the label

A fake medical institution gives the behavior a name stupid enough to remember.

Share the diagnosis

Friends laugh, then realize they have the same condition.

Avoid reinfection

The patient becomes 3.21% less likely to do the dumb thing again. As study says.
